About the designer

Leor Spector was raised in New Jersey by an entrepreneur father and an artist/jewelry designer mother. Her parents from day one instilled a drive to create and thrive as a designer. Leor began her career studying fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York at the young age of 14

After receiving a BA  in international studies from the University of Arizona in 2006, she moved to Israel to study fashion and accessory design in Tel Aviv.  In  2008 she moved to LA to continue her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Merchandising with a focus on fashion design and apparel manufacturing. In Los Angeles Leor began working for multiple high end contemporary lines and used her love for travel and diverse background as inspiration for her designs. 

After many years in a Sr. designer position Leor was drawn to create Takeit Collection as a motion away from the quick turnaround and trend driven industry. She wanted to create a luxury brand with products that are well made and stand the test of time. Takeit Collection began in 2016 as an accessory and vintage collection. Throughout the last several years she has drawn inspiration from vintage and her vast personal kimono collection to create these new designs. Her background in garment dye and hand-dye techniques comes to life with this new line.

When Leor is designing, she is inspired by shape, nature, and color. Leor's technical knowledge of a garment’s proper fit and design, combined with her innate creative abilities, results in an effortless and wearable line that reflect the kind of woman she is herself; strong, sexy, and fun
